Engineering Manager

       Drytech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the company’s Engineering Department.  The ideal candidate will be a person who performs with a professional, positive, and energetic demeanor who leads in an environment of mutual respect.  This position requires 2-3 years’ experience leading a team and 5+ years of experience in an active engineering discipline.

Job Disciplines:

  • Managing the daily engineering activities for the team, including direct team and budget responsibility

  • Responsible for the staffing, training, and coaching of the team

  • Making decisions and recommendations that have impact on engineering and related activities of the group

  • Resource planning, including managing supply chain, to ensure resources are available to perform tasks. Creating and monitoring processes as required.

  • Responsible for planning, executing, and supervising design, fabrication, bring up, integration, and release to production of products and systems.

  • Responsible for recommending development tools and leading development processes.

  • Project Management including root cause and corrective action methodologies.

  • Perform various engineering related analyses and prepare technically proficient test reports

  • Interface with suppliers (machine shops, molders, etc.) to ensure economical design execution

  • Interface with production management daily supporting day-to-day tasks

  • Prepare, review and if required, update production work packages ensuring the most efficient manufacture of products

  • Review and execute ECR’s/ECN’s

  • Set-up shop tools, machinery and develop fixtures as required

  • Reporting and presenting to the leadership team.

  • Supporting and presenting to customers.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

·         Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as PTC Creo Parametric / ProE

  • Managing and providing technical oversight of highly experienced mechanical, electrical and design engineers.

  • Experience managing product development projects from concept to post-production release.

  • Managing multiple, fast-paced, concurrent product development projects.

  • Creating, or working with project managers, to create project budgets, schedules and proactively tracking progress while taking action to meet both budget and schedule requirements

  • Knowledge of GD&T

  • Team-player with the ability to work effectively in group settings

Desired:

  • Knowledge and grasp of the dynamics of gas and air flows and pressure differentials

  • Knowledge and familiarity with shock, vibration, and thermal stress analysis

  • Knowledge and understanding of ultrasonic welding

  • Creating presentation material and interfacing directly with customers in technical exchange review meetings.

  • Ability to work with production, customer support and sales organizations in support of diverse product portfolio.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance.

  • Experience working in the defense industry is a plus.

       This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Salary: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
