PRODUCT ASSEMBLER
1. SCOPE
Perform various assembly
operations on a variety of families of standard and precise mechanical
assemblies and subassemblies.
2. COMPANY
The company, located adjacent to
McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey is a market leader in the field of moisture
control and air purification. It designs
and produces a wide range of desiccators, molecular sieve filters, dehydrators
and humidity indicators for the Department of Defense and prime contractors
including Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Raytheon.
3. JOB
DISIPLINES
Read and follow processes,
specifications and procedures, review sample assemblies, and receive verbal
instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Assemble mechanical components,
subassemblies and assemblies.
Position parts in specified
relationships to each other. Use
machine, hand tools, or power tools to fasten, rivet, screw, crimp, seal,
solder, encapsulate or perform similar operations to secure parts in place. May operate arbor, punch and drill
presses. May work with a variety of
chemicals used in the cleaning and assembly of parts. Required to utilize PPE as determined.
Perform required corrective action
toward continued improvement. To assure
meeting customer quality and delivery requirements, the assembler shall
maintain accuracy and efficiency an all job functions.
4. REPORTING
This position reports directly to
the Production Supervisor.
5. EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing experience
preferred.
6. ADDITIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Assemblers must be able to
successfully pass required certification tests in specific areas related to the
position. Training, Testing and
Evaluation of acquired skills will be performed by Drytech.
