Technical Sales Representative

 

BASIC FUNCTION: The scope of the Commercial Sales Representative’s position is to provide sales and marketing support to the Technical Director in his capacity for launching a range of desiccant filters and dryers for the fluid processing, electric transmission, and hydraulics market sectors. The position requires a technical background preferably in one of the above marketing sectors. Further the individual should possess good sales and communication skills.

Overall Responsibilities
·         Develops Strong Customer and Market Knowledge: Strategically identify and establish long-term, sustainable Customer partnerships to create winning solutions driven by effective strategies.
·         Establish and manage trusting and loyal account partnerships, also including top level leadership.
·         Has a deep understanding of the market, by defining all end user / customer buying influences and the customer's business, as well as providing broad insights as to customer needs / requirements and effectively communicate this through Sales Tools and Leadership Reviews.
·         Accountable for ensuring effective/timely communication, in-& externally, to achieve objectives aligned with business and sales plans.
·         Develop a deep know how of the market, by understanding the value chain and generate trust at end-user level, by establishing access and linkage to technical & economic buying organization / end-user / stakeholder groups.
·         Ability to maintain clear & current insights on competition and end user buying patterns and manage broad stakeholder knowledge and translate this insight into a unique winning solution
 
Marketing Responsibilities
·         Identify appropriate markets for the Drytech products
·         Identify potential sale avenues including wholesalers, distributors, and agents
·         Aid in the development and design of various marketing materials as needed
 
Sales Responsibilities
·         Interface with current end users as well as potential customers and engineers to ensure filters and dryers meet application needs
·         Secure orders and sales, further interface with production to ensure consistent and compliant deliveries
·         Identify and attain partnership with key distributor networks to further the product market reach
·         Liaise with distributors and wholesalers to ensure appropriate stocking requirements are met and maintained
·         Communicate with management regarding opportunities to modify or improve a filter or dryer to meet specific customer needs
·         Prepare PowerPoint presentations to convey the features and benefits of the Drytech brand and products
·         Be prepared to travel as appropriate to meet the stated sales goals
·         Attend and represent Drytech at Trade Shows
 
1.)    REPORTING
·         This position reports to the Technical Director
 
2.)    EXPERIENCE
·         The applicant should have 5-10 years of sales experience preferably in one of the market sectors identified above
